Whose Money Story Are You Living?
Have you ever stopped to ask yourself where your beliefs about money actually came from?
Not what you know about money.
Not what you've learned about investing, saving, budgeting, or building wealth.
I'm talking about what you believe about money.
For most of us, our money story began long before we ever earned our first dollar.
Maybe you grew up hearing:
Money doesn't grow on trees.
We can't afford that.
You have to work hard for every dollar.
Rich people are greedy.
Save it for a rainy day.
Or maybe nobody talked about money at all.
Maybe you simply felt the tension when bills arrived. You watched your parents argue about finances. You learned that money created stress, fear, control, or uncertainty.
Without realizing it, you began creating a relationship with money.
And here's the interesting part:
That relationship may still be influencing your financial life today.
Money Is Never Just About Money
I've spent years helping people understand their finances, and one thing has become incredibly clear to me:
The numbers are only part of the story.
Fear.
Security.
Guilt.
Freedom.
Control.
Worthiness.
Scarcity.
Abundance.
That's why two people can have the exact same amount of money and experience it completely differently.
One feels secure.
The other is terrified of losing it.
One sees possibility.
The other sees everything that could go wrong.
The difference isn't necessarily what's sitting in their bank accounts.
It's what's happening within them.
Are You Living Someone Else's Money Story?
Think about the messages you received about money growing up.
What did your parents believe?
What did their parents believe?
What did you witness?
And then ask yourself something even more important:
Do I actually believe these things or did I simply inherit them?
Sometimes we spend our entire lives operating from beliefs we never consciously chose.
We want abundance but feel guilty receiving it.
We want financial freedom but believe success requires struggle.
We want to enjoy our money but fear there will never be enough.
We want something different while unconsciously repeating what we've always known.
That's not failure.
That's a pattern.
And you cannot change a pattern you cannot see.
Awareness Creates Choice
This is where transformation begins.
Not with judgment.
With awareness.
Because the moment you recognize a belief, you create a space between what you've been taught and what you now choose to believe.
Awareness gives you choice.
And change, practiced consistently, begins creating a different reality.
This is the work I believe matters most when we're talking about wealth.
Yes, financial strategies matter.
Planning matters.
Saving and investing matter.
But if we're building those things on top of fear, scarcity, or beliefs about ourselves that no longer serve us, we're only addressing part of the picture.
True wealth is created from the inside out.
What Could Change in 21 Days?
This is exactly why I created the 21-Day Wake Up to Your Wealth Challenge.
It's not about becoming wealthy overnight.
It's about waking up to what's already happening within you.
For 21 days, I'm inviting you to become curious about your relationship with money, your emotions, your beliefs, your choices, and the patterns you may have been carrying without realizing it.
Because once you see them, you can begin choosing differently.
And sometimes one small shift in awareness changes far more than we realize.
Maybe you stop making a financial decision from fear.
Maybe you recognize that a belief you've carried for 30 years was never actually yours.
Maybe you finally give yourself permission to want more without feeling guilty about it.
Maybe you discover that wealth means something completely different to you than you thought it did.
That's what waking up is about.
Not becoming someone new.
Becoming conscious of who you've been, what you've believed, and who you choose to be moving forward.
Your past may have written the beginning of your money story.
But you get to decide what happens next.
If you're ready to explore that story with me, I'd love for you to join us for the 21-Day Wake Up to Your Wealth Challenge.
For the next 21 days, we're going inward so we can begin creating something different on the outside.
Because your relationship with money isn't just about what you have.
It's about what you believe you're worthy of creating.
Join the 21-Day Wake Up to Your Wealth Challenge
Much Love,
Julie
